ABDUL BADI WAS BORN IN Washington D.C., but was raised in Brooklyn, New York. While in elementary school, Badi developed an interest in drawing and painting. He won top prize in a local art show gaining notoriety this enabled to attend art classes at the Brooklyn Museum. Badi attended Manhattan’s High School of Art and Design and in his later years, worked as an illustrator in the United States Marine Corps.
