I am crying….
My eyes are wet with
my own tears
Their wells are pouring
down my face
Rivers on my cheeks
of pain
where they slide and fall
and I can taste their saltyness;
My heart is broken
that’s why I’m crying,
Because of a girl; a Woman
whom I loved madly
She left me with this broken heart
to carry throughout my life,
instead the roses
that I once kissed to her
I feel like the end
of the world
is here:
I cannot see beyond
the darkness of this day;
Friends, Dear friends
say, Someday
I’ll get over it;
the pain
the hurt
the broken-heartedness
the sense of Great Betrayal!
On Television
I see a little boy
sitting in the sand
in some distant land,
crying,
His tears are
the same as mine
His stomach is much larger
than his head
& His eyes
bigger than marbles;
His skin is so tightly wrapped
around himself
till you could see his bones
protruding through it;
I think he’s going
to die
any day now.
