The Intercultural Alliance of Artists & Scholars, Inc. (IAAS) was created in 2000 to enhance understanding of and respect for cultural diversity through literature and literacy. Our mission is twofold: (1) to strengthen the literary community by publishing and exposing multicultural writers through various venues; and (2) to provide programming that educates and informs all aspects of the population from varying and diverse backgrounds – from the poor and underprivileged, to the privileged yet undereducated – through the use of multicultural literature. The IAAS’s overall goals are to foster literary talent and achievement, to advance the art of writing as essential to a good education, and to serve the writers, teachers, students and readers of contemporary literature. We are seeking support to continue producing and distributing our programs: VISIONARY VOICES and phatLiterature, A Literary TV Program; and for our operating expenses.

The Intercultural Alliance of Artists & Scholars, Inc. is a New York-based corporation that is registered as a nonprofit, charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. This means that all donations within the U.S. are tax deductible. You may view our ruling letter from the IRS acknowledging our 501(c)(3) status. You may also find other helpful information through GUIDESTAR (search for “Intercultural Alliance,” also requires free registration for full access). Donations can be made by check, money order or through PAYPAL by major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) or a PAYPAL account.
Donations From Outside the United States: We welcome donations from anywhere in the world and in any currency. PAYPAL accepts a number of international currencies. You may also send checks to us in non-USD currencies. Please consult with your tax advisor about whether your donation will be tax deductible to you.
If I donate financially, where would my donation go?
If you’d like to contribute financially to the IAAS, here is where we need your help: Our current initiative is to raise funding for the distribution of phatLiterature; the production and distribtion of VISIONARY VOICES; and the IAAS operating expenses. Specifically, your donation will help offset expenses including stipends, materials (including video supplies), postage and packaging for distribution.
