phati’tude Literary Magazine will unveil its Winter 2011 issue, “Celebrating Black History Through Literature, From the Harlem Renaissance to Today” at the First Annual African American Literary Festival at the Queens Library’s Langston Hughes Community Library & Cultural Center in Corona, NY.

The issue features a wide-range of established and emerging African American writers, including writers Amiri Baraka, Quincy Troupe, Ishmael Reed, Shonda Buchanan, devorah major, Yusef Komunyakaa, Tony Medina, Askia Toure, Tara Betts, Haki Madhubiti, among others. The book is a chock full of interviews, including Ishmael Reed and Sharon Dennis Wyeth and Kenneth W. Warren, with essays written by Leah Creque-Harris, Andrew P.  Jackson, Remica Bingham and Thabiti Lewsis.  The cover is by African American abstract-expressionist artist, Danny Simmons.
